The Sea and What it Means to me

Oh the sea, oh the sea,

How wonderful you are to me.

So beautiful and blue this is a fact,

for I know it is true.

Oh the sea, oh the sea

You are so vast, I would love to sail

around you on a ship with a tall mast.

Oh the sea, oh the sea

I couldn’t live without you.

You surround the island where I live

and give it extra beauty.

Oh the sea, oh the sea

How I love to watch the waves roll in

And I marvel at the caves you make.

Oh the sea, oh the sea

What beautiful gifts I collect from you

As I walk along the shore

Shells, driftwood, unusual pebbles and rocks.

They are full of precious secrets – like a locked box.

Oh the sea, oh the sea,

How wonderful you are to me.

I shall always respect you and work

hard to protect you.

Here's a couple more children's poems.

A Ghostly Read by Joe Wild age 12

A creaky door
A shuffle on the floor
A eerie darkness
A floating white dress
A silence as loud as a night-club
A ghost came to get his GRUB!!!

Which Witch by Daniel age 7

A witch had a cat
Which turned into a bat
Which wore a cat
and that was that
