Manx Tails by Dennis Turner
If you should see a little, furry animal one day,
And you are with a Manxman just be careful what you say!
One nearly bit my head off when I said I'd seen a rat.
He said "It's called a 'long tail'. You must remember that." |
 |
But if you see a little creature running round your house
You don't call it a 'short tail', you simply say "A mouse."
The Manx have funny names for little animals like that,
I saw one with no tail at all! THEY call the thing a CAT! |
