Reading Rollercoaster Record Breaker!

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year's 'Reading Rollercoaster' at Onchan Library! It was a record breaker, with 430 children taking part and reading a fantastic 5,776 books.

The 'Reading Rollercoaster' is part of a National Challenge held throughout Britain, and sponsorship from The Isle of Man Bank enables Onchan library to join in. Every child received a 'Ride Guide' and successful finishers all received a medal and certificate.

There were also prizes for the different competitions held throughout the event, and winners were presented with their prizes by Joyce Williams from the Isle of Man Bank, Maurice Kennaugh, Chairman of Onchan District Commissioners, and Tim Norton, Chairman of The Leisure of Amenities Committee.
