Frightfully Good Fun for Hop-tu-naa

Local Poet, Elizabeth Adams, has written this poem especially for the occasion:

    Halloween
Halloween is coming round
can you hear that awful sound?
witches, swooshing by
cackling, howling in the sky!!
all the stars are still and silent
waiting tensley for the moment
when the scary torments erupt
in and out of woodland groves
under toadstools, howling like wolves.
when the witching hour is past
suddenly~ there's peace at last
Elizabeth Adams

Onchan Library was like Hogwarts during half-term, with spooky stories, ghost hunting, monsters, spiders, and scary face painting. Here are a few more pics:

Everyone dressed up ...

... even the very youngest.

Teddies came along ...

 and sisters too.

Making wizard wands ...

..spiders, monster puppets and masks.

The face painting

was really amazing!

Thank you to Quinn, our very talented face painter,

and everyone who joined in the fun.
