Skandia Reading Quest

Royal Skandia are once again supporting Onchan Library to take children on a fantastic reading adventure this summer. Children complete a task each time they read two books, and there are gifts to collect along the way, prior to being awarded with a golden dragon medal.

Children are never too young to enjoy books, so pre-school children have their very own ‘Skandia Star Readers’ event this year. Those who are seeking an extra challenge can go ‘Beyond the Quest’ into the realms of space. Prize Winners from the ‘Skandia Reading Quest’ and ‘Beyond the Quest’ will also be invited to join Howard Parkin at the Isle of Man Astronomical Society’s Observatory in Foxdale this October.

 

 All the materials for The Skandia Reading Quest are absolutely free, and there will also be free children’s’ holiday activities throughout August as part of the event.
